If you go to HEB from today to oct 5 , you can buy 5 participating Box Tops products and get 20 Bonus Box Tops ($2 value) or buy 10 participating Box Tops products get 70 Bonus Box Tops ($7 value) + $5 to spend for the school. This is a great deal and we made most of the money from this offer last year.

Spread the word !

Return the Box tops coupons either to the school store or to the 1st period teacher or put them in the Box Top box in the library.

Hi all,

Welcome to a new year at Westview PTO. We are excited about another school year and hope you can join us at meetings, dances, sporting events, and many other happenings at Westview.

Saturday – August 21st – Ice Cream Social from Noon to 1:30 p.m. All parents and students are invited. We will be providing PTO information.

As we wrap up this school year, the PTO Board wants to thank all of you who were able to help in any way – working at an event, donating food or drinks, attending a meeting… Everything that you were able to do was appreciated so much and helped us to make this school a great place for our kids to be! Our work isn’t done yet –  

Speakers wanted for end of school.  

Parents are invited to talk about their careers or any talent from May 25th  to May 28th. It can be for an hour or for all day. Contact Mrs Munoz for any details.  

One Last Breakfast…
Although the kids are out of school on Thursday, June 3, the teachers must continue for another day. The PTO would love to provide them with a good-bye breakfast on Friday, June 4 to wrap up this wonderful year! If you’re able to donate fruit, baked goods, juice or any food item for this effort, it will help them all end the school year with a huge thank you! More information on this will be forthcoming…

This year, the PTO received a BoxTops check for $325 ! That’s an amazing job, especially for a middle school. Way to go, Wildcats! Remember, keep collecting those BoxTops over the summer. We’ll be looking for them again next year!

PTO Events April 2010

Snacks for teacher during TAKS testing week.

From Monday April 26 to Friday April 30, during TAKS tests, the PTO will supply the teachers in snacks. If you can donate baked goods at any time this week, please bring them directly to the front desk.

The Westview PTO School Store is opened for in the cafeteria on Fridays from 10:30 AM to 1:30PM. We are selling a variety of unique school supplies ranging from 5 c to $1.00. This year, we are accepting both money and Box Tops 4 Education. Each box top will be worth 1 cent at the school store. So bring in your box tops (or cash) and trade for erasers, sharpeners, pencils, refills, megaphones ($3), pompoms ($1.50) …

PTO Events March 2010

On March 10, 2010, we will have our First Annual Family Fun Night. Our goal is to design a fun, informative, and free event employing healthy CATCH themes that would appeal to all family members. The event will be held at Westview Middle School. The event will be from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. We will have healthy food samples, volleyball, basketball, jump rope and other sports-related activities. If you visit all the booths in the cafeteria your name will be entered in a drawing for door prizes.

We are asking for volunteers to help for this CATCH event, even for just a 30 minutes session. We will probably be setting up as early as 5 pm and clean up until about 8 pm. Contact our coordinator Lisa.

Next week, Wednesday, March 3, is a TAKS testing day. The PTO would love to provide healthy snacks for the teachers and staff to keep them rejuvinated throughout the day.

If you can be part of that effort by donating “Healthy Snacks” – fruit, bottled water, granola bars, etc – they would greatly appreciate it!

Please leave your donations at the front desk next week and by the morning of March 3rd.

The Westview PTO loves Box Tops! You can turn them into the office, first period teacher or to the school store on Friday if you want to purchase something with them. Our next deadline: Feb 19th .

WMS PTO Events – 2009

On Friday, November 20th, Westview will have an Awards Assembly recognizing “A Honor Roll,” “A/B Honor Roll,” “Perfect Attendance,” “P.R.I.D.E. Awards,” and Grade-Level Awards students. Parents are invited to come celebrate their child’s successes on Friday at the following times:
 8th Grade (8:30)
 6th Grade (9:15)
 7th Grade (10:00)

Book Fair “The Sweet Reads Place” will be from November 30 to December 4. Make plans to visit, to shop and to win prizes!

Participate to the Best Chef contest at the Book Fair Family Night , Wednesday Dec 2, 2009. See details about the contest here.

Westview Theater Arts Department will be performing “The Little Prince” at Connally high School on Saturday December 11th for the district’sOne Act Competition. Please mark your calendars to attend and support us.
